What happened at the October 2026 Council Meeting

At its October meeting Council

  • adopted Amendment C68cora to the Corangamite Planning Scheme and resolved to submit it to the Planning Minister for approval (Timboon Precinct Plan);
  • resolved to issue a Planning Permit for a subdivision on Hawks Nest Road, Pomborneit East;
  • noted officers’ submissions made to the Planning Minister regarding Cobden and Camperdown Battery Energy Storage System planning applications;
  • considered the 2025-2026 Annual Report;
  • received the Chief Executive Officer's annual report on the activities and performance of the Community Asset Committees;
  • appointed proposed Committees of Management for
    • Camperdown, Lismore, Skipton, Terang and Timboon Swimming Pools;
    • Cobden Aerodrome;
    • Ecklin Hall;
    • Port Campbell Public Purpose Reserve; and
    • Timboon Sporting Centre;
  • adopted the
    • Health and Safety Management Policy 2026; and
    • Information Privacy Policy September 2026;
  • allocated a $3,759.25 Facility Design Grant to the Ecklin Hall Committee of Management to develop plans to extend and modernise the facility and meet accessibility and compliance standards; and
  • entered into a 50-year lease agreement with Sunnyside House to use part of Jaycee Park in Camperdown as a carpark.
