BIG LINE-UP FOR MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Corangamite Music Festival is back on Saturday 7 February 2026 at the Theatre Royal, Camperdown.
Enjoy a full day of FREE, family‑friendly live music featuring performers from across Corangamite Shire, spanning rock, country, punk, pop and African rhythms.
Refreshments include a coffee van and Lions Club barbecue.

HONOURS FOR LOCAL LEGENDS

Corangamite has announced its Australia Day Award winners, with joint honours in both major categories. Gary and Marilyn Kimber are the Citizens of the Year, recognising decades of volunteering, while Bentley Currell and Ben Matthews shared Young Citizen of the Year. Timboon’s 150th celebrations claimed Community Event of the Year.

SATISFACTION SURVEY STARTS SOON

Phones will ring across Corangamite Shire in coming weeks as independent researchers seek your input for Council’s annual Community Satisfaction Survey. Residents may receive a call during February or March to share their experiences – positive or negative – to help guide future services. The survey is voluntary and anonymous.

COUNTRY MUSIC WITH BIDGE BOYD

Enjoy a relaxed daytime concert in Timboon with popularVictorian singer‑songwriter Ian “Bidge” Boyd.
Bidge is known for heartfelt country storytelling and strong community spirit.
The free show runs from 11 am to 12.30 pm on Tuesday 24 February at the Timboon & District Public Hall. RSVPs are required.

JANUARY MEETING RUNDOWN

WIND FARM APPROVAL CONCERNS

Corangamite and Moyne Shire Councils have expressed disappointment after the State Government approved a planning permit for the proposed Swansons Lane wind farm. Both mayors say the project lacks community consultation, sits outside proposed Renewable Energy Zones and could impact nearby farms and roads. Over 100 objections were lodged.
