APPLICATIONS FOR GRANTS ARE CLOSING

Time is running out for community groups to apply for Corangamite Shire’s 2026-2027 grant programs. If you have an idea for an event, facility upgrade, equipment purchase or community project, this is your final reminder.

ROAD WORKS PROGRAM A SUCCESS

We’ve completed almost eight kilometres of road upgrades, new and replacement footpaths, and accessibility improvements across the Shire as part of this year’s Capital Works program.
Work finished ahead of schedule has helped reduce disruption and prepare roads for winter.

WELCOMING FOURTEEN NEW CITIZENS

Council was proud to welcome 14 new Australian citizens at a special ceremony in Camperdown recently.
The new citizens originally came from the Philippines, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Our next citizenship ceremony will be on 14 July.

APRIL COUNCIL MEETING OUTCOMES

At its April meeting, Council reaffirmed support for protecting high‑quality agricultural land through the Grow Corangamite Strategy, took steps to attract private sector investment into the Shire, and approved grants to support local businesses and community groups.

Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal to lease part of Jaycee Park in Camperdown to support the planned expansion of Sunnyside House aged care.

We’re reminding dog owners to keep their pets secure to help prevent injuries, attacks and wandering incidents.
Rangers have responded to numerous stray dog reports this year.

Local sport will benefit from a $137,000 State Government funding boost for new lighting at Timboon Recreation Reserve and the development of a Recreation and Open Space Strategy.
