What happened at the October 2025 Council Meeting
At its October meeting Council:
- received the Chief Executive Officer's annual report on the activities and performance of the Community Asset Committees, to which members have been delegated authority under Section 47 of the Local Government Act 2020, and appointed committees for
- Berrybank Hall Committee of Management (two years);
- Camperdown Swimming Pool Committee of Management (one year);
- Cobden Aerodrome Committee of Management (one year);
- Cobden Civic Hall Committee of Management (two years);
- Cobden Swimming Pool Committee of Management (one year);
- Lake Tooliorook Recreation Reserve Committee of Management (two years);
- Lismore Swimming Pool Committee of Management (one year);
- Port Campbell Public Purpose Reserve Committee of Management (one year);
- Simpson and District Public Hall Committee of Management (two years);
- Skipton Swimming Pool Committee of Management (one year);
- Terang Civic Hall Committee of Management (two years);
- Terang Swimming Pool Committee of Management (one year);
- Timboon and District Public Hall Committee of Management (two years);
- Timboon Swimming Pool Committee of Management (one year); and

- received the 2024-2025 Annual Report for consideration;
- adopted the new Public Transparency Policy dated October 2025;
- updated the S6 Instrument of Delegation Council to Council Staff;
- adopted the Healthy Well Corangamite 2025-2029 municipal public health & wellbeing plan;
- received the finance report for the period ending 30 September 2025;
- approved Changes to the 2025-2026 budget of $612 K unfavourable;
- endorse the Corangamite Destination Action Plan 2025-2030;
- adopted the new Business Assistance Scheme Policy dated October 2025;
- approves the Business Assistance Scheme application from Settlement Supermarket Simpson ($1,725 ex GST) to improve the appearance and signage;
- authorised the Chief Executive Officer to make a submission on documents released by VicGrid for public feedback;
- placed the Draft Masterplan for the Camperdown Arboretum on public exhibition for four weeks; and
- authorised the Chief Executive Officer to make a submission to the Federal Government opposing proposed reduction of default speed limits outside built‑up areas;
- received a petition from Timboon residents about the playground on Barrett Street.
