What happened at the September 2025 Council Meeting
At its September 2025 meeting, Council:
- received the Biannual Audit and Risk Committee Report for September 2025;
- approved a planning permit for a two-lot subdivision on Lower Darlington Road, Duverney, subject to conditions;
- resolved to, with Moyne Shire Council, seek a meeting with the Minister for Planning to raise concerns over the introduction of Victorian Transmission Plan Amendment VC268;
- endorsed entering into the Memorandum of Understanding with the SouthWest Victoria Alliance for three-years from 24 October;
- gave in-principle approval to the Financial Statements and Performance Statement for the year ended 30 June 2025 and authorised Crs Hickey and Makin them after any changes recommended or agreed to by the auditors;
- received the 2024-2025 Mt Noorat Management Committee Annual Report;
- awarded Contract 2026010: Earthworks Plant Hire and Green Waste Processing to a list of 16 tenderers;
- approved the Business Assistance Scheme application from Timboon Bakery ($3,500 ex. GST) to enhance the façade with
- window and door replacement, repainting, new signage and landscaping;
- awarded Contract 2026011 - Sealing of Various Local Roads throughout Corangamite Shire and Warrnambool City in 2025-2026 to Inroads Pty Ltd for $2,473,857.27 (+ GST) and approved the addition of $40,000 to the annual road resealing budget for 2025-2026; and
- adopted the Recreation Facility Development Policy Dated October 2025.
