Join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week 2025 with a morning of connection, culture, and community on Tuesday 8 July from 10 am.

This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” invites us to reflect on our shared journey and the steps Corangamite is taking toward a future grounded in reconciliation.

What’s Happening

Location 1: Wombeetch Puyuun Reconciliation Garden, Camperdown | Djargurd Whurrong Country, Eastern Maar

  • 10 am: Welcome to Country
    Begin the morning with a Welcome to Country by Tommy Clark from the Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation.

  • 10:15 am: Storytime with Early Years Team
    Enjoy a special reading of a book by a First Nations author, hosted by our Early Years team.

  • 10:30 am: Community Walk to Community Flagpole

Location 2: Community Flagpole, next to The Courthouse Camperdown (179 Manifold Street)

  • 11 am: Flag Raising
    Join us for a walk to the Community Flag Pole on Manifold Street to raise the NAIDOC flag in recognition of the week.

  • 11:15 am Fire Pit Conversations & Damper Sharing
    Gather around the fire pit for more storytelling and finish with damper made from Indigenous ingredients like wattle seed, served with tea.
