The Titanga Night Stalk is a chance to connect with nature, inviting the community to slow down, tune into the landscape and discover the incredible life that comes alive after dark.

We’ll explore the reserve at night, listening and looking for the creatures that call this place home.

From nocturnal birds and insects to frogs, mammals and other hidden inhabitants, the night reveals a whole different side of our local environment.

Rather than simply observing nature, the Night Stalk is an opportunity to connect with the environment through our senses; listening for calls in the darkness, watching for movement, learning about local species and understanding the important role that healthy ecosystems play in supporting wildlife.

You don’t need to be an experienced birdwatcher, wildlife enthusiast or environmentalist to join us.

The Titanga Night Stalk is for anyone curious about the natural world and wanting to experience our local environment in a new way.

Come prepared to walk, listen, observe and get a little bit curious. As the sun goes down and the landscape changes, we’ll discover just how much life exists beyond what we see during the day.

 

What to bring:
Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for walking on uneven ground. Bring a warm layer, water and a torch or headlamp if you have one. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, part of the magic of a night stalk is not knowing exactly what you might encounter. This is a family-friendly environmental connection experience designed to foster curiosity, appreciation and care for our local natural environment.
