Crayfest, Port Campbell

What is Crayfest?

Crayfest Port Campbell will be a one day event showcasing all the good things about our area - seafood, local produce, our natural environment, community, creatives, volunteers and local characters.

A rough plan of the day includes:

10 am-11 am: Street parade Cheer and join in a Lord Street parade with floats and walkers representing local and regional community groups. Scouts, sporting clubs, environmental groups, emergency services, Lions, Probus, Mens Shed, Historical Society, local producers, and of course, our local cray fishermen will be invited to participate.

11:30 am: Screening of BLUE - the Film at Port Campbell Arts Space. BLUE is a cinematic song for our oceans. Beautiful, intimate and grand. Fearlessly truth-telling, yet passionately hopeful.

12 pm-5 pm: Bands, market stalls and food at tennis courts. Sample seafood prepared by local chefs and be entertained by live music in the main festival area (tennis courts). Outside there will be community group and public service displays, workshops and market stalls.

How can you get involved?

We need community groups and individuals to help make the inaugural Crayfest a truly memorable experience. We hope it will be the first of many!

There are a few ways to get involved:

1. If you are part of a community/sporting group or local service - commit to entering a float to our street parade. Be as creative as you wish and start brainstorming now! Don’t forget sustainable materials!

2. If you wish to help out individually, let us know. We need all hands on deck!

3. If you are a local producer or creative, consider showcasing your wares or skills at Crayfest.

4. Get in contact with Maria Gordon, Grassroots Cafe, 28 Lord Street, Port Campbell.

You can message Maria on 0401 010 099 or email maria@grassrootsdelicafe.com or message us via Crayfest Port Campbell Facebook page.
