NAIDOC Week Celebration

Join us this NAIDOC Week for a free community event celebrating culture, connection and community at Wombeetch Puyuun Reconciliation Garden. The afternoon will open with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation, followed by a hands-on damper-making workshop exploring the use of Indigenous ingredients.

The event also features the launch of Corangamite Shire’s Bush Kinder book, showcasing children’s learning and connection to Country through the Early Years program.

Held on Tuesday 7 July from 1.30–3.30 pm, this family-friendly event welcomes all ages to come together and reflect on this year’s NAIDOC theme, 50 Years of Deadly, celebrating the strength, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
