Join us in commemorating International Women’s Day as we raise funds and awareness to help prevent family violence. The event begins at 5:30pm at Excuse Me Katie’s, where we will gather before walking to the Camperdown Clocktower for a short memorial ceremony honouring women killed by male violence. From 6:00pm, join us back at Excuse Me Katie’s for a family violence information session. Tickets for the session are $10 and include a complimentary drink. Entry is free for those aged under 18. The evening will conclude with a raffle featuring prizes generously donated by local businesses. You are welcome to attend the memorial walk, the information session, or both. All proceeds from ticket sales and raffle entries will be donated to RizeUp Australia, a frontline organisation which provides practical support to victims of domestic and family violence, including furnishing new homes for those fleeing violence.
Hosted by GRIT Legal and Excuse Me Katie's.
