Governance 101 - Free Workshop
Local sporting clubs, show societies, pool and hall committees, and volunteer organisations play a vital role in our community. But even at the grassroots level, good governance is essential.
Join us for Governance 101, the next instalment in Corangamite Shire’s Community Leadership Series, designed to support aspiring and experienced community leaders.
This free workshop will help strengthen the governance capabilities of local organisations and community groups. Participants will gain practical insights into:
- Legal obligations of incorporated bodies
- Roles and responsibilities of committee members and office bearers
- Understanding and applying Model Rules
- Committee structures, voting procedures, and conflict resolution
- Accessing useful templates and resources for effective governance
Whether you're new to committee work, considering volunteering, or have years of experience, this session offers a valuable opportunity to refresh and expand your knowledge.
If you’re unable to attend but are interested, please contact Council to discuss alternative arrangements.
