Join our FREE First Aid training for Corangamite Shire young people aged 12–25 and learn how to handle real-life emergencies with confidence.

From CPR to basic lifesaving skills, you’ll gain practical knowledge, boost your confidence and maybe even save a life one day.

It’s hands-on, super useful and looks great on a resume too. Spots are limited, so secure your spot today!

These courses will be run as hybrid courses with theory to be done at home prior and assessments with the trainer on the day.

 

Course details:
Thursday 9 July, Camperdown RSL

Two session times:
Session 1: 9 am - 12.30 pm
Session 2: 1 - 4.30 pm

What you'll do:

• Practice CPR on adult and infant manikins

• Use adrenaline auto-injector and AED training devices

• Learn to use a workplace first aid kit

• Try out different wound dressings and bandages

• Learn to treat shock with blankets and other items

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Fill out workplace injury and incident report forms

Completion: Finish the one-day course plus pre-reading/activities to get your HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate, including the HLTAID009 Provide CPR unit.

 

Important information

• Once enrolled you will receive access to all pre-course reading and activities and a copy of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Course Learner Guide

• You will need to complete the theory component before attending the session on Thursday 9 July. You can do this in your own time or we will also be hosting a theory session on Monday 6 July. If you opt in for this session when registering, we will send you the details.

• Bookings are essential and priority will be giving to people aged 15 - 25 years.

• Lunch is not provided. Participants are encouraged to eat before or after the session, depending on their selected time.

• Attendees need to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number as it is a national training requirement. If you don't have a USI you can create one here.
