Are you looking for work in construction, this course is for you!

This is a FREE course for Corangamite youth aged 14 - 25.

Known as White Card in Construction this course provides participants with the basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry, information about preventing workplace injury and illness, identify hazards and risks and workplace injury management.

All people performing construction work require proof of having completed a general construction induction for the industry. The White Card Course is designed for all workers carrying out construction work including:

  • Self-employed persons;
  • Labourers;
  • Apprentices;
  • Trainees;
  • Trades-persons;
  • Supervisors and project managers.

  • Identify Construction Hazards and Control Measures
  • Identify OHS/WHS Legislative Requirements
  • Identify OHS/WHS Communication and Reporting Processes
  • Identify OHS/WHS Incident Response Procedures
  • Use of personal protective equipment

Important information

  • All required tasks are completed on the day.
  • Bookings are essential and priority will be giving to people aged 14 - 25 years.
  • Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
  • Attendees need to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number as it is a national training requirement. You can provide this upon booking or on the day of the course. If you don't have a USI you can create one here.
