Please join us for a two-hour business workshop to learn the principles of a circular economy and how implementing them can help your business thrive.
This workshop will assist business and community who are looking for circular economy opportunities for cost savings, supply chain resilience and brand innovation. You will hear stories of regional innovators who are emerging in this space and learn opportunities to change the way we use and value resources.
What is "circular economy"?
The circular economy offers a sustainable alternative to traditional practices by highlighting resource longevity and minimising waste. This approach ensures that materials are used for as long as possible through various methods, including reuse and remanufacturing.
Adopting Circular Economy practices can address several critical issues:
- Reduce the need for extracting new raw materials.
- Lower greenhouse gas emissions from material extraction and usage.
- Mitigating pollution and toxicity impacts.
- Decreasing the economic costs associated with our current linear system and waste management.
- Preventing further biodiversity loss.
By understanding more about, and embracing the Circular Economy, we can tackle these challenges and move towards a more sustainable future. It can also build our resilience and prosperity as a region.
