ANZAC Day, 25 April, is one of Australia’s most important national occasions.

It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

Many townships throughout Corangamite hold their own services so check out your local paper and social media for information closer to the date.

Camperdown

Dawn Service - 6 am at the War Memorial, corner Manifold Street and Cressy Street.

Street March - 9.30am. Gather at corner of Little Manifold Street and Bath Street, march to memorial.

Commemorative Service - 10 am at the War Memorial.

Cobden

Commemorative Service – 11 am at Cobden Cenotaph, Silvester Street.

Morning tea to follow.

Derrinallum/Lismore

Commemorative Service - 10.30 am at the Derrinallum Cenotaph, Main Street, Derrinallum.

Refreshments available afterwards at the History Rooms.

Noorat

Commemorative Service - 8 am at the War Memorial on Mackinnons Bridge Road (opposite the Niel Black Memorial Presbyterian Church).

A coffee van will be available afterwards.

Port Campbell

Dawn Service - 6 am at the Soldiers Memorial, Fisherman's Carpark.

Skipton

Dawn Service - 6 am at the Skipton Mechanics Hall, Anderson Street. Followed by breakfast.

March - 11.45 am - Starting at Skipton Primary School.

Commemorative Service - 12 pm at the War Memorial, Anderson Street.

Terang

Dawn service 5.45 am at the RSL Hall, Shadforth Street.

Service - 10 am at Terang RSL Hall.

March - 10.30 am. Starting at RSL Hall, marching down High Street to the War Memorial.

Timboon

March - 7.30 am at the Timboon Recreation Reserve. Assemble for the March at 7:15am to step off at 7:30am. The Commemorative Service to follow also at the Recreation Reserve.
