About Coastal Connect
The South West Councils ICT Alliance (SWCICTA) is a joint venture between Corangamite Shire, Moyne Shire and Warrnambool City Council. SWCICTA’s major initiative is the Coastal Connect project, which will uplift the councils’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform to a SaaS environment with supplier TechnologyOne.
The project will deliver significant benefits to each council and their communities through a shared system, common business processes and improved corporate and customer support functions.
About the position
Reporting to Corangamite Shire Council’s Director Corporate and Community Services, the Project Delivery Lead will lead the implementation of Coastal Connect within Corangamite Shire.
Working in collaboration with the broader Coastal Connect project team and partner councils, the role will be responsible for ensuring Corangamite Shire is prepared for the change through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, change management and staff learning activities.
This is a hands-on project leadership role for someone who can bring people together, translate complex system and process changes into practical actions, and support Corangamite staff through implementation and transition.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Leading and embedding the project’s change management, communication, stakeholder engagement and training approaches.
- Building productive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Working with TechnologyOne, key users and process owners to develop practical, consistent business processes across the three councils.
- Engaging, informing, influencing and negotiating with staff, service delivery teams and key business stakeholders throughout implementation.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting project, process and stakeholder issues as they arise.
About you
You are an experienced project or change professional who is comfortable working across organisational boundaries and influencing people at all levels. You combine strong planning and delivery skills with an inclusive communication style, sound judgement and the ability to keep complex work moving when priorities compete.
- Substantial experience in and understanding of project delivery, change management, business analysis or a closely related role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale ERP or technology implementation projects, including change, communication and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, negotiate solutions and explain complex matters clearly.
- Demonstrated success in engaging and motivating internal stakeholders and building effective relationships with external partners.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, including the ability to manage concurrent priorities, conflicting demands and firm deadlines.
- The ability to assess complex issues, identify practical solutions and professionally represent Council at meetings and forums.
- A relevant diploma or degree, or significant relevant experience in project management, local government services, information technology or a similar field.
- Experience with TechnologyOne, another ERP platform, IT implementation projects, or a government organisation will be highly regarded.
