EoI - Independent Member to CEO Employment & Remuneration Committee

No longer on display. Expired on 06 June 2025, 05:00 PM

At Corangamite Shire, the CEO reviews are undertaken by the CEO Employment and Remuneration Advisory Committee.

The Committee is chaired by the Mayor and will comprise two other Councillors who are appointed on an annual basis.

The Committee meets twice yearly and following each review a report will be provided to the following Council meeting.

Council is seeking to engage an Independent Advisor to join the committee.

The committee assesses the performance of the CEO against the annual Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs). The review will also include the opportunity for Council to provide the CEO with performance related feedback, and in consultation with the CEO, identify and agree on the KRAs.

The CEO is given the opportunity to present a performance review report to the Council. The performance review is completed annually to coincide with the anniversary of the CEO’s commencement date, and the CEO’s contract of employment. An informal progress update is conducted within six (6) months of the formal annual review each year thereafter unless it is agreed by Council and the CEO that such a review is unnecessary.
