EoI - Positive Ageing, Accessibility and Inclusion Reference Group

On display until 31 December 2025, 12:00 AM

We’re looking for passionate community members to help shape a more inclusive and age-friendly future in our region. Council is inviting Expressions of Interest to join our new Positive Ageing, Access and Inclusion Reference Group.

This group will play a vital role in guiding the implementation of the Positive Ageing, Accessibility & Inclusion Plan 2025–2029(PDF, 10MB) by sharing local knowledge, lived experiences, and ideas that matter to our community.

Why get involved?

  • Make a real difference in creating an inclusive community for all ages and abilities.
  • Share your voice and experiences to influence positive change.
  • Connect with others who care about accessibility and inclusion.

What’s involved?

  • Membership runs for four years, aligned with the Plan.
  • The group will include:
    • 1 Councillor (Chairperson)
    • Up to 5 community representatives with local knowledge and/or lived experience
    • Up to 4 Council staff from across all directorates
  • We aim for diverse voices across all life stages to ensure fair representation.

Interested? You can step down at any time with written notice, but we hope you’ll stay and help us make a lasting impact!
