Top comedians to take the stage in Camperdown

Three award-winning stars from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe are bringing the laughs to the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.

Featuring Charlie Pickering, Elliot Goblet and MC Katie Wainhouse, the show promises a packed afternoon of laughs, entertainment and good company.

Tickets for the show on Sunday 4 October are on sale now and Corangamite Shire Deputy Mayor Laurie Hickey encouraged community members to book quickly before the show sells out.

“Charlie Pickering is one of Australia's best-known comedians and broadcasters.

“After more than a decade touring his stand-up around the world, he has become a familiar face on TV and a voice on radio.

“With his deadpan delivery, Elliot Goblet is an Australian comedy legend.

“Katie Wainhouse turns her observations as a mum and wife into sharp comedy that many of us can relate to.

“Council is really happy to work with the promoter, Crimson Goat Comedy, to bring top-quality live entertainment to our Shire.”

Acting Manager Economy and Prosperity Sam Fox said a licensed bar and soft drinks will be available throughout the afternoon.

“Grazing boxes can be purchased ahead of the event. Ticket holders can choose to be notified when grazing box orders become available.

“A variety of seating options will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number of tables available for group bookings.

"It’s a fantastic line-up, and we're encouraging people to book early, organise a group of friends and enjoy a great afternoon out in Camperdown."

“Being on Sunday afternoon, people from across the region can come along and see some top-level comedians without a late night to start the week.”
