World-renowned BMX flatland rider, circus artist and storyteller Scott Hone will bring his thrilling BMX Trick Bike Show to Simpson next month.

Corangamite Shire Mayor Kate Makin said the family-friendly spectacle fuses world-class athleticism, contemporary circus and physical comedy with a rock soundtrack by musicians from Circus Oz.

“Scott is known for his background in flatland BMX which involves stunts where there are no ramps, jumps, or grind rails,” Cr Makin said.

“The performance tells his personal story of growing from a child learning bike skills to a professional artist appearing on stages around the world.

“The creative team describes the show as ‘focusing on themes of perseverance, resilience and experimentation, supported by an original live soundtrack’.

“It’s a family-friendly show that will inspire the audience with its heartfelt story about perseverance, resilience, and believing in yourself.”

Community members are invited to a free barbecue lunch at midday, before the show starts at 1 pm.

The event is free but families are asked to register here, for catering purposes.
