Save time cleaning up after your event with Waste Wise Trailer

With community events, festivals and markets set to ramp up over the warmer months, Corangamite Shire Council’s free Waste Wise Event Trailer can help make light work of the clean-up.

Council’s Coordinator Waste & Environmental Sustainability Simone Robertson said the trailer is a practical tool that supports both event organisers and the environment.

"Summer is one of the busiest times of the year for community and we want to help organisers make those events as sustainable as possible.

“The Waste Wise Event Trailer gives them an easy way to manage waste and recycling, while reducing the amount of material sent to landfill.

The trailer can hold up to 12 bins, bin covers and flags which are also free to use.

“Event organisers just have to pay standard waste disposal fees,” Ms Robertson said.

“The trailer and associated equipment can be picked up and dropped off at the Corangamite Regional Landfill at Naroghid during operating hours.

“The maximum load is 1440 kg and the towing vehicle must have a minimum 2000 kg towing capacity and be covered by the event’s public liability insurance.

“Council staff are happy to talk you through those requirements when you book the trailer.
