Corangamite residents are invited to share morning tea and get tips on staying safe, confident and independent while getting around their local community.
Community members who drive, use a scooter, or prefer to walk are encouraged to attend a free Stay Safe, Stay Independent session from 10.00 am-12.30 pm on Thursday 8 October in the Rose Room at Terang Civic Hall.
Coordinator Positive Ageing Access and Inclusion Belinda Rowbottom said the informative and interactive session will provide practical advice and strategies.
“The session aims to support community members of all abilities to remain independent while staying informed about road safety and mobility considerations that may affect everyday travel,” Mrs Rowbottom said.
“Community members will have the opportunity to learn from experienced presenters, ask questions and connect with others in a welcoming and supportive environment.
“Older residents, carers, family members and anyone interested in safer community travel are encouraged to attend.”
