Animated movies add adventure to school holidays

Magic, aliens, evil scientists and animal gangsters will liven up the September school holidays.

Four animated feature films will screen for free at the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.

Events and Creative Industries Team Leader Tammy Young said the first movie will be ‘PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ (PG) on Wednesday 23 September, at 10:30 am.

“It tells the story of a magical meteor that gives the PAW Patrol superpowers, transforming them into the Mighty Pups,” Ms Young said.

“They face their most powerful challenge when Humdinger teams up with a scientist to steal their powers.

“’The Bad Guys’ (PG) will screen from 1.30 pm. This is the story of a gang of animal criminals faking going straight to avoid prison, but the leader realises that he really does want to change his ways.”

The following Wednesday, 30 September, ‘Shaun the Sheep: Farmageddon’ (G) will screen at 10.30 am.

“When an alien crash-lands near Mossy Bottom Farm, Shaun helps to get here home before a sinister organisation can capture her.

“Then, at 1.30 pm, ‘My Freaky Family’ (PG) is about a girl with musical talents and magical abilities who finds out her family has secrets.

Ms Young said entry was free with the Bath street doors opening half an hour before start time.

Food and drinks, including fresh popcorn, will be available for purchase.
