Light Up Camperdown Returns
We kick off the festive season on this Friday with Light Up Camperdown under the Clocktower from 4.30 to 9.30 pm. Enjoy roving performers, live music, late-night shopping, and a spectacular fire performance. Highlights include a free screening of The Polar Express, Glow Circus Workshop, lantern parade, and a community BBQ near the Clocktower.

Road Rehabilitation Under Way
Council has started the first of 19 road rehabilitations and upgrades in the 2025–2026 program, covering 12.09 km of roads at a cost of $3.3 million. These works will improve safety and driving conditions across the Shire. Please follow signage and drive carefully near crews.

Christmas and New Year Closures
Find out about our services over the Christmas and New Year period. Council offices close 12 pm Wednesday 24 December and reopen Monday 5 January 2026. Libraries, pools, and some transfer stations will also close on public holidays. Kerbside collections continue as scheduled.

Highlights from November Council Meeting
Council elected Cr Kate Makin as Mayor and Cr Laurie Hickey as Deputy Mayor, set the next Mayoral term for one year, and adopted the Camperdown and Terang structure plans. Other decisions included rezoning 30 Bailey Street, Timboon, approving grants, and adopting the Domestic Animal Management Plan.

Accessible Beach Day at Port Campbell
Celebrate inclusion at the beach on Sunday 14 December, 10 am to 4 pm. Enjoy surfing with the Disabled Surfers Association, guided beach walks, a sensory tent, and an all-day barbecue. Afternoon guest speakers will explore accessibility and inclusion. Free event – everyone welcome!

Poorpa Yanyeen Meerreeng Trail Opens
The new 19.3 km walking and cycling trail between Timboon and Port Campbell is officially open. Named in partnership with Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation, Poorpa Yanyeen Meerreeng means “travel through Country” in Keerray Wooroong. Enjoy native bush, farmland, wetlands, and ocean views along this scenic route.
