Weed Spotters and WESI (Weeds at Early Stage of Invasion)

Come and brush up on your weed knowledge at an event put on by the Department of Agriculture Victoria.

Experts Bec Schwinghammer and Bianaca Gold will run locals through the weeds of risk of invasion to the south west, and provide the skills and knowledge on how to spot a potential weed emerging, and who you can ask for help.

On the day:

• Learn how to ID a selection of early invader environmental and State Prohibited weeds.
• Live plant samples.
• Free ID materials and identification tips.

This event is useful for farmers, land managers, agricultural service providers, contractors, environmental groups and individuals who have an interest in flora.
