The Simpson Takeaway has been closed for alleged offences under the Food Act 1984.
The premises will be closed by Council on Monday 7 April 2025 under Section 19 of the 1984.
The premises at 2379 Lavers Hill-Cobden Road was found to be in an unsanitary condition and an order to close the restaurant has been issued under the Victorian Food Act 1984.
The Simpson Takeaway premises is prohibited from operating the premises as a food business in relation to the preparation and sale of food until specific items have been complied with to the satisfaction of an authorised Council Environmental Health officer.
