2026 Community Satisfaction Survey starts soon

Phones will ring across Corangamite Shire in coming weeks as independent market researchers ask for community opinion on Council’s performance.
Mayor Kate Makin encouraged residents to think about their interactions with Council over the past year so they be ready with answers − positive or negative − if they get a call.
“Council is conducting a Community Satisfaction Survey to better understand what matters most to our community and how we can continue to improve local services.
“During February and March, some residents may receive a phone call inviting them to take part and share their views on Council’s services and facilities.
“Your feedback will help shape the services and programs that matter most to our community,” Cr Makin said.
“The survey questions are designed to understand community perceptions of Council’s performance in delivering important services.
“It’s voluntary and anonymous, with Council only getting the statistical results and no personal details.
“The survey is managed by an independent market research agency, Klein Research with their fieldwork partner, TKW Research.”
The callers don’t have names of residents at a particular number so will never ask for a specific person.
The survey will involve 400 interviews – 300 by phone call and 100 on social media – with a representative sample of residents of all ages and backgrounds.
It will address a number of the 59 mandatory performance indicators under the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF), which will be included in Council’s annual report.
Results are expected to be shared with the community in June.
