About the position
Corangamite Shire Council is seeking a passionate, diploma-qualified educator to join our Cobden and District Kindergarten team at the start of the 2026 kindergarten academic year. This is a lunch cover position and involves working every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Providing high quality education and care programs for children.
- Working cooperatively with a team of Early Childhood Educators and allied professionals to provide a safe, caring, and educational environment for children attending the service.
- Supporting the Nominated Supervisor with the efficient and effective management of the service to ensure smooth daily operation.
About you
- Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent as required in accordance with Education and Care Services National Regulations 2012, or evidence of working towards the same.
- Experience in a childcare, kindergarten or pre-school setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning & Development Framework Victoria, Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- Current Victorian Driver’s License, Working with Children Check and recent National Police Check.
