Northern Horse Park Lakes and Craters International Horse Trials

Our event is a FEI/National Horse Trials run from the 4th to the 7th of December 2025 at the Camperdown Golf Club Multi sports venue, using the Camperdown Cricket Club No 2 oval, the new arena above and the volcanic saddle between Lakes Bullen Merri and Gnotuk making it the most picturesque venue for the Olympic sport of eventing.

Riders come from all over Australia to compete.

Our event starts with Dressage which tests the riders ability to ride within an arena showing the education of the horse then they do Cross Country which is jumping over fixed obstacles (some with safety devices to prevent major accidents) then the riders have to show their horses ability to show jump so show the horses ability to come back after the cross country to jump with little or no penalties.

Our event uses international judges from Japan, India and Australia, giving riders the opportunity to be judged by officials who have judged across the world, this way the riders know where they are in their training compared to riders overseas. Some riders who have ridden at our event have gone on to ride at Olympic and World Equestrian Games Teams.
