About the position

Corangamite Shire Council is looking for a Concreter to assist with all aspects of concrete preparation, pouring, screeding and finishing, and to carry out construction and maintenance work on Council’s road network, properties and facilities. 

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the laying of replacement and new footpaths, kerb and channel and various other maintenance works.
  • General concrete tasks including preparation, formwork, pouring and finishing.
  • Operating and maintaining plant in an efficient and safe manner on construction and maintenance jobs.
  • Maintaining and monitoring traffic control and safety signing on the job as required.
  • Maintaining accurate time sheets and work program documentation.

About you

  • Sound working knowledge in the operation, safe use and maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Experience in civil construction and maintenance works, ideally as a Concreter, or willingness to learn on the job.
  • Current Victorian Driver License.
  • Medium Rigid (MR) Driver License endorsement, Construction Induction Card and Traffic Management Ticket, or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
  • Recent National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.
