Be inspired to get active, eat well and invest in your mental health with Corangamite's Eat Well! Move Well! Be Well! program!
Eat Well! Move Well! Be Well! is a program that aims to increase the number of Corangamite Shire residents involved in physical activity, healthy eating and good mental health.
With over 60% of Australians now overweight or obese, the program is designed to help create greater awareness and involvement in activities that help to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.
Activities are held by organisations and groups across Corangamite Shire and focus on nutrition, physical activity and positive mental health outcomes.
Who can be involved?
You! Gather your family, friends or go along yourself and make new friends - there is something for everyone!
Don't think you have what it takes? The activities as part of Eat Well! Move Well! Be Well! encourage all ages and abilities to give it a go!

What sort of activities are held?
The Eat Well! Move Well! Be Well! program has a variety of activities that can include one off activities, events or ongoing activities.
Some examples of activities are:
- Come and try day
- Bring a friend free health promotions
- % discount off health services or classes
- Seminars or workshops
- School events such as walk to school
- Sporting events for example triathlons or adventure races
- Health challenges such as a walk-a-thon
Have an idea but not sure if it fits? Contact Council's Recreation Development Officer, Lucy Vesey to discuss your proposed activity.
How do I hold an activity?
Clubs, organisations, schools, businesses and community groups are invited to submit and Expression of Interest to host recreation activities, health seminars or a health promotion as part of this program.
Eat Well! Move Well! Be Well! is a great opportunity for your club or organisation to:
- Showcase what your club/organisation has to offer
- Encourage new participants and members to join your club/organisation
- Give residents of all ages and abilities the ability to invest in good health and try something new
The Winter program will run from 4 - 11 August. Expressions of Interest close Friday 29 June 2018
