EoI – Artwork for Logo and Branding for Graze the Day

This Expression of Interest seeks submissions from Artists / Designers who are Eastern Maar citizens, who would like to be a part of the brand development for our new ‘Graze the Day’ event.

Location: Timboon Amphitheatre / Railway Precinct, Snake Track Road

As part of ‘Grow and Prosper Corangamite’ Council has consolidated its approach to economic and community development, inclusive of arts and culture. As part of its development, the ask of an iconic event that was unique to Corangamite continued to be presented by community and business. 

Aligning with the platforms of connectivity, creativity and authenticity of people and place, ‘Graze the Day’ was established. The event program is in development but hopes to include local artisan producers, Eastern Maar cultural performances and all things creative. 

This request for Expressions of Interest seeks submissions from Eastern Maar citizens who are keen to be a part of brand development for the event. 

Brand elements

Council is seeking the development of brand elements (including logo) using art and designs inspired by Eastern Maar culture. The brand elements, which will be used to promote the event, will reflect a distinct and stand-alone identity that expresses the connection between people and Country. 

The types of brand elements to be produced should include:

  • Event Logo – which may or may not include event name.
  • Visual representation of the event name – designed name to use in headers, etc.
  • Artwork / graphics in a related design style to the logo, to use in the event program, website, posters, etc.
  • Explanation of the story behind the designs (wording would be agreed between the Artist and Council, along with direction from the Artist on appropriate inclusion of the story).

Council can work with different artistic formats of the designs. However, artwork must be supplied in either digital format or with the capacity to be developed/scanned into a digital format. 


Budget $10,000 (exc GST).

Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property (ICIP)

The contract between the Artist and Corangamite Shire Council will include clauses to protect the ICIP of the Artist and Eastern Maar community, while permitting ongoing use of the artwork / designs by Council to promote and deliver this specific annual event.

Application and selection

Interested Eastern Maar Artists are asked to complete the application form on the link below.

The Artist will be selected by Corangamite Shire Council and Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation (EMAC).

The Artist will be directly engaged by Corangamite Shire Council.  

Council and EMAC will work with the appointed Artist to help inform the artwork / designs.  The Artist will liaise with a local graphic designer to produce the artwork in digital format if required.  Council and EMAC will approve the designs in consultation with the Artist.

Council will pay fees to the Artist for designing the logo and brand elements.
