Council is seeking expressions of interest for the future use of the former Lismore Maternal Child Health Centre facility located at 59 William Street, Lismore.
This is an exciting opportunity for any interested commercial operators, community organisations or private enterprises wishing to lease the former Lismore Maternal Child Health Centre premises. Terms will be under a commercial lease incorporating commercial rent or terms of a community lease with a community rental and terms.
The building was built around 1958 and has been well maintained and used for children’s services. The existing floor layout will allow the building to be easily adapted for specific uses. The premises are next door to the Lismore Preschool and located only a block behind the main Street of Lismore.
All submissions that maximise the potential use of the property and contribute to the business and or community benefit are encouraged. The property would be suitable for a variety of commercial/community or private enterprise activities.
The facility is situated on Council owned land and is zoned as a township zone with no heritage overlays. Council's Planning and Building Department can be contacted should the intending applicant wish to discuss any necessary planning or building permits required for the proposed usage.
The land area is approximately 500m2 and the internal space is approximately 70m2.
Council will negotiate all terms and conditions of any lease proposal for the property and it would be expected to commence in February/March 2023 or thereafter.
Written expressions of interests are invited up until 4 pm Friday 14 October 2022 and must include information on the proposed usage of the premises, the rental which will be paid, the term of lease e.g., one, two or five years (or any other period) and any proposed lease options to extend the lease.
For inspections of the facility or further enquiries please contact Property Officer, Wendy Williamson. Please note that by offering an expression of interest process, Council holds no commitment or obligation to proceed further.
Written EoIs can be submitted up until 4 pm Friday 14 October 2022 via the online form below. Alternatively you can contact Wendy Williamson through the contact details.
