Primary school kids can win one of a heap of prizes in the Walk to School program drawing competition.

Prizes include sports equipment provided by Benallack’s Sports, swimming pool passes, fruit and vegetable vouchers and more.

To enter, primary school children can draw what they love most about walking, riding or scooting.

Entry forms can be picked up from your local primary school or the Corangamite Shire Offices or downloaded from www.corangamite.vic.gov.au/Places-and-Events/Recreation-programs/Walk-to-School.

Mayor Jo Beard said VicHealth’s Walk to School program was a free, easy and fun way for kids to get active and learn healthy habits for life.

“We’d love to see more families walking, scooting or riding in Corangamite to help local kids get active and build healthy habits, confidence and friendships.

“If you can’t walk all the way, there are many great opportunities to get involved and support your school. Try parking the car a few blocks from school and walk, ride or scoot the rest of the way.”

Entries — addressed to “Walk to School Drawing Competition” — can be handed in at the Council Civic Centre at 181 Manifold Street, Camperdown; mailed to PO Box 84, Camperdown 3260; or emailed to shire@corangamite.vic.gov.au.

Entries are limited to one per child and close Tuesday 31 October 2017
