School holidays are almost here and Corangamite Shire is again presenting movies at the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.

Films to be screened include the Hugh Jackman musical ‘The Greatest Showman’ on Thursday 27 September and animated feature ‘Tad the Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas’ on Thursday 4 October.

Manager Growth and Engagement Rory Neeson said the screenings would be a great opportunity for families to enjoy great films locally on the big screen.

“Kids, get your friends together and make a day out of it,” he said.

“These shows are always great fun and a fantastic opportunity to get out without spending much money.”

‘The Greatest Showman’ brings all the glitz and glamour of the big top to the big screen.

It tells the story of P.T. Barnum who founded the circus they called The Greatest Show on Earth.

It stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya.

‘Tad’ is a 3D animated adventure with the voices of Ariel Winter and Cheech Marin.

It’s about an awkward explorer who has to rescue his beloved from a villain looking for King Midas’ treasure.”

Mr Neeson said there was no charge for entry and food and drink will be available for purchase.

“The Bath Street doors open at 1 pm for a 1:30 pm start,” he said.
