Starting a Business

Corangamite Shire's natural attractions have resulted in a thriving tourism sector, creating employment prospects across a diverse range of businesses.

International, interstate and intrastate visitation to the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell National Park is increasing annually, with the Great Ocean Road region being the most visited area outside metropolitan Melbourne.

Corangamite is well serviced by transport infrastructure, with major state highways and arterial roads travelling through our townships. Additionally, the Melbourne-Warrnambool rail route, which services Camperdown and Terang, has regular passenger and freight services.

Business opportunities range from value-added dairy based businesses to specialist food producers, traditional retail, agricultural, machinery, export, professional services, trade and tourism-based business. The possibilities are vast and many.
