Council levies rates on properties to enable it to provide services to the community that we all benefit from. Some of the services that we provide include roads, rubbish collection and disposal, storm water management, parks and gardens, halls and stadiums, and maternal and child health centres. In Corangamite Shire rate income currently provides about 40% of our total income.
